Algeria confirms it flew fighter jets into Niger to stop a 'coup attempt', president says
Algeria's President Tebboune confirmed on October 3 that Algiers sent four Su-30 fighter jets to Niger in late August after mutineers attacked a military base, the state broadcaster and the presidential palace in Niamey — breaking with its non-intervention doctrine.
