Black flags on the beach: Chennai fishermen rise against Vijay's ₹1,200-crore Secretariat palace
Hundreds of Pattinapakkam fishermen marched with black flags on Oct 4 against the TVK government's Secretariat-Assembly complex plan on Foreshore Estate land acquired in 1957 for their rehabilitation, they say. The state calls it a DPR-stage proposal; the fishers call it a land grab.
