Petrol up Rs 5, diesel Rs 3: Nayara's hike drags the inflation burden back to the pump
Private refiner Nayara Energy has raised petrol by Rs 5 a litre and diesel by Rs 3 at its 7,108 outlets from Saturday, blaming rising global crude prices. It is the second hike this year; state-owned retailers, which run 90% of India's pumps, hold prices steady.
