The bypoll theatre: Dharapuram deserves better than this shouting match
A 22-candidate byelection in a Scheduled Caste constituency has shrunk to a shouting match over alleged nicknames and a 'force of evil' jibe. The water, wages and dignity of Dharapuram's people are nowhere in the debate — and the bypoll exists only because MLAs defected for the ruling party.
